Kids Ministry at FBCMims
We provide your child (infant through 6th grade) with safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.
Here's what to expect when visiting Mims First with your child:
We offer a variety of programs for all ages. As we have two services and small group sessions, there are plenty of opportunities for you and your child to get connected.
Our Nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment for all children from infancy through 3yrs. of age, and is open for all standard services.
In the 8:45am service we have our "Name TBD" (grades 4th-6th) where your child can learn important lessons to help them grow in their faith and cultivate great relationships with friends and their teachers.
With our Small Group sessions starting at 10:30am we have groups for all ages:
- Preschool (3yrs. - Kindergarten)
- 1st-3rd grade
- 4th-6th grade
- 7th grade
In our 10:45am service your child (4yrs. - 3rd grade) can attend our Bright Starz class, where they will learn songs of worship, lessons about Jesus and the bible, and hear about missions. They will also be provided a snack and activities such as crafts and games.
How check-in works
Nursery: You can check-in your child at the nursery at anytime. Our friendly staff members will assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
(Upon check in you will be provided a pager. In the event that we need to contact you, your pager will go off and we ask that you exit the sanctuary and make your way to the nursey)
Name TBD & Bright Starz: You and your child will take your seats in the main sanctuary where you will be able to enjoy church worship together. Your child will them be dismissed to their class and led to their room by one of our volunteers.
Pickup: You can pick up your child in each's appropriate class rooms. Teachers will not release children before a parent or guardian has come and picked them up from their class.
(Don't know where your child's class is? No Problem, you can talk to any of our greeters and they will be more than willing to assist you.)
The safety of your child is very important to us. As such all of our volunteers and teachers have had a background check to ensure your child's care and safety comes first.
Our volunteers and teacher are also trained by our children's pastor (and those he has selected) to ensure your child is getting the best care.
